All of our garments are made in our Waiheke Island workshop. At times, we may not have every style or size in stock and will make your piece to order.

This is the reality of a very small production business. It allows us to keep stock levels sensible, avoid waste, and produce only what is truly needed. It is also why we do not rely on constant sales or overproduction.

Because of this, some orders can take up to seven days to be ready for dispatch. We always work as quickly as possible, but while we are very fast, we are not magicians.

All return and store credit items must meet the following requirements:

• Returned within 30 days of purchase
• In original condition with all tags attached
• Unworn, unwashed, unsoiled, and unaltered

Please note that all returns must be sent back to Waiheke Island, New Zealand, at the customer’s expense.

Yes. Ahipao does not cover the cost of return postage or insurance. We recommend using a courier service with a tracking number.

Ahipao cannot be held liable for garments that are lost or damaged in the return process.

We work hard to ensure all of our products are beautifully engineered to the highest quality. However if you have a concern with a faulty or damaged item, please email shop@ahipao.co.nz with a description and images of your product fault.

Yes! As we make most products ourselves, we are able to ensure every garment is crafted sustainably, using natural fibres. Because all our fibres are created by nature rather than in a petrochemical laboratory, every product is naturally renewable, recyclable and biodegradable.
We ensure every supplier we work with uses sustainable practices for their raw materials and where possible we source from New Zealand companies to support our local textile industry.

Yes! We only use factories we would be happy for our customers to visit - factories where the workers fairly paid, offered training and up-skilling opportunities - our goal is to help grow, develop and maintain a local, sustainable knitwear industry.

Anything that is New Zealand made, we have created ourselves in our knitwear mill on Waiheke Island.
