Cirrus embodies this philosophy, blending New Zealand brushtail possum down with fine cashmere and mulberry silk to create an exceptional yarn that brings together luxury, craftsmanship and a meaningful connection to Aotearoa.

A Unique Blend of Exceptional Fibres

Cirrus combines 40% possum down, 40% cashmere and 20% silk, with each fibre contributing its own distinctive qualities. Cashmere brings a delicate softness, possum down offers remarkable warmth with minimal weight, and silk adds a subtle lustre and fluid drape. Together, they create a refined, lightweight yarn with a beautiful balance of texture, warmth and elegance.

A Fibre Unique to Aotearoa

The New Zealand brushtail possum is an introduced species that poses a significant threat to Aotearoa’s native forests and wildlife. Its browsing damages native vegetation, while possums also prey on native birds and compete with indigenous species. By incorporating possum down into Cirrus, a fibre closely connected to New Zealand’s conservation efforts becomes part of something enduringly valuable: a premium yarn that celebrates the distinctive natural resources and identity of this country.
