Description

A celebration of Aotearoa in knitwear, our Anahera Cardigan is a unique, multifunctional piece named after the Māori word for “angel.” Its elegant silhouette echoes the lightness and graceful lines of its namesake, while its double-sided jacquard allows it to be worn two ways, with a different colourway on each side. Linked construction creates a clean, slim connection between the pieces, while duo-colour fringe detailing adds movement and versatility.

Part of our Kiwiana Collection, the jacket features an exclusive border inspired by the textures and natural forms of nīkau and harakeke, reinterpreted through contemporary knitwear. Designed and knitted entirely on Waiheke Island using advanced 3D knitting technology and high-quality New Zealand yarn, it brings together local craftsmanship, innovation, and a distinctive expression of Aotearoa.

Every Ahipao piece is packed by hand on Waiheke Island. Orders are packaged and dispatched within 0 to 3 business days, and you’ll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.

Free shipping on orders over NZ$350.
Dispatched within 0 to 3 business days, then delivered by overnight courier. Rural and south island addresses may take an extra day.

Australia
Free express shipping on orders over A$350, duties paid.
Dispatched within 0 to 3 business days, then delivered by DHL Express in around 2 business days.
Import duties and taxes are covered by us, so there’s nothing extra to pay on delivery.

United States
Free express shipping on orders over US$350, duties paid.
Dispatched within 0 to 3 business days, then delivered by DHL Express in around 4 business days.
Import duties and taxes are covered by us, so there’s nothing extra to pay on delivery.

Canada and rest of world
Free express shipping on orders over US$350, duties paid.

If something goes wrong
Delivery times are estimates, and occasionally couriers run late. If your order is delayed, damaged or lost in transit, email us at shop@ahipao.co.nz and we’ll sort it out with you.

Returns and exchanges

We want you to love your Ahipao piece. If it isn’t quite right, you have 30 days from the day it arrives to request a return or exchange.

What can be returned
Items need to be unworn and unwashed, with tags attached and in their original packaging, so they can go to their next home in perfect condition.

How to start a return

Email us at shop@ahipao.co.nz with your order number and what you’d like to return or exchange.
We’ll reply with instructions, usually within one business day.
Send your item to: Ahipao, 10 Oceanview Road, Oneroa, Waiheke Island, Auckland 1081, New Zealand.

Please get in touch before sending anything back, so we can look out for your parcel and process it quickly.

Return shipping
Return shipping is at your cost. We recommend a tracked service, as we can’t be responsible for parcels that go missing on the way back to us. If you’re returning from overseas, please mark the parcel as “returned goods” on the customs form so you aren’t charged duties.

Exchanges
Need a different size or colour? Email us within 30 days and we’ll arrange it.

Refunds
Once your return arrives and we’ve checked it, we’ll email to confirm. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 2 business days. Your bank may take a few extra days to show it.

If it’s been more than 10 business days since we approved your return and you haven’t seen the refund, email us at shop@ahipao.co.nz and we’ll follow it up.

Faulty, damaged or wrong item?
Please email us as soon as you can with a photo, and we’ll make it right with a repair, replacement or full refund. We’ll cover the shipping in both directions.
